Design Cartoon competition on the theme of Sustainability with focus on Water
Cartoonists are invited to humorously communicate the seriousness of sustainability with respect to water in terms of conservation, preservation and recycling. This forms part of the Cumulus Mumbai 2015 event with the theme: In a Planet of Our Own – a vision of Sustainability with focus on Water.
Winning cartoons will be displayed during the events will also be published as part of a book to be released during the conference in December 2015.
Deadline for submission is 31st of August 2015 and results will be announced on 30th of September 2015.

Innovation inspired by nature
The bio-inspired international design contest “Biomorphic design in the project a regenerative global society”, sponsored by the international project network VisionArtech, aims to select 3 first prizes and further 100 best bio-inspired design projects by design students from the following areas:
(a) Design and textile design
(c) Industrial design.
Schools need to register their interest to take part in the competition. Official registration will close on 30th April 2015. Students have to register through its school by filling in the form available on the website. Each school may submit a maximum of three design projects by its students. The best projects will be selected and announced in October 2015 and will go on display as part of an international exhibition and symposium on biomimetics in 2016.
Film Poster Contest Open
Petaluma International Film Festival is inviting the artists in any field to participate in creating a poster for its 7th annual festival in October 2015.
Deadline: July 1, 2015
The design theme is open to the artist's imagination and it is up to the artist to create a dynamic poster. There is no limit to the number of submissions. The winner will receive a full pass to the festival along with a worldwide recognition for creating the poster.
