Creative Nestlings and the Design Institute

The DI has recently partnered with Creative Nestlings. The NEST is a continent-wide network of young African creatives launched in February 2015. Through The NEST, “nestlings” are able to share & help make each other ideas happen, through the collective effort & sharing each other’s physical & mental resources. The DI is always keen to support such initiatives that promote entrepreneurship amongst young people in South Africa.

Their members consist of photographers, designers, creators, makers, artists, doctors, engineers, students, researchers, producers, musicians, journalists, designers, entrepreneurs, copywriters, art directors, fashion designers, thinkers, doers, school leavers, film makers, writers, art directors, teachers, architects, creative directors, bloggers, developers and more.

When you Join ‪#‎TheNEST, you are not only joining a great community of young African creatives but you are enabling yourself, your fellow creatives & us to create great work for the continent & beyond. The nest is relaunching soon.

In the meantime, check out their conversations page, where they regularly take time to chat to some interesting creatives from around the world.

Also keep an eye on their awards page, the voting for blogger of the year for 2015 has closed, watch out for the winner.
