Tasos is the CEO of Terrestrial, a consultancy which creates breakthrough products, services, processes and experiences for global companies like Motorola, BP and Philips. Terrestrial creates new revenue opportunities for its clients and has won several of the world's most prestigious design and innovation awards including the German Red Dot Design Award, the Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Award and top nominations for the INDEX Award, the world's biggest design prize. Terrestrial's work has been published around the world in periodicals, websites and television programs like National Geographic, Wired and CNBC Africa; has appeared in university case studies and even a school textbook.
Tasos holds a BTech Industrial Design degree from the University of Johannesburg. He has lectured at and collaborated with universities in South Africa, the USA and Canada such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Gordon Institute of Business Science. He has been a member of his alma mater's Advisory Council for Industrial Design and their Peer Review Panel. Tasos has also served on the panel of judges for some of South Africa's most prestigious design and technology awards. He was also a mentor to the George Brown College/Bruce Mau Institute Without Boundaries World House Project in Toronto and his writing has appeared in various publications including the New York-based BusinessWeek/Core 77 design supersite and Management Today.
