The SABS Design Institute’s Design & Innovation Entrepreneurship Centre is a port of call for designers, innovators and entrepreneurs who have bright ideas and need help to bring their products or services to market. The Centre offers the services of experts, be they academics, business experts or designers, to offer advice on all aspects of ideas development.
The SABS Design Institute promotes design and supports new ideas that can grow the South African economy. The Institute was established in 1969 but in 2013 became more aligned with our country’s needs such as job creation.
The creation of the Design & Innovation Entrepreneurship Centre has been part of the Design Institute’s mandate that includes policy-making, creating partnerships, supporting SMMEs and brainstorming on how to approach design promotion.
